The authorities of St. Petersburg will consider the issue of naming one of the city streets after Yevgeny Prigozhin. The day before, Vasily Vlasov, a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, sent a written appeal to the administration with a request to rename Zolnaya Street, on which the Wagner Center was built, in honor of the founder of PMC Wagner.
As reported “Rise” press secretary of the governor of the city Inna Karpushina, the appeal will be dealt with in the prescribed manner.
Zolnaya street is a street in the Nevsky district, which runs from the Oktyabrskaya embankment beyond the street of the Latvian Strelkov. The name has been known since 1985, but it was officially assigned in July 1993. The street ran along the ash dump, hence the name.
