Alexander Desyatkin, the head of the municipal cultural institution “Department of Culture of the Kushnarenkovsky District” of Bashkiria, and the director of the regional house of culture, Olesya Vildanova, were reprimanded for the song of the Ukrainian singer Andrey Danilko (he performed under the pseudonym Verka Serduchka) “The Party”, which played on the central square of the village of Kushnarenkovo on October 7 during trade fairs. This was reported to Kommersant by Flyur Galiev, a resident of Kushnarenkovo, who wrote a complaint.

Acting head of the administration of the Kushnarenkovsky district, Marat Akhmadullin, in response to a complaint, wrote that the musical accompaniment at the fair was organized by employees of the cultural department to create a “festive mood.” “Music is broadcast from a playlist with songs in Russian, Tatar and Bashkir. At the fair on October 7, musical accompaniment was also organized from the speakers of the regional house of culture. Indeed, the playlist included the song ”Party” by Verka Serduchka. This song has already been deleted and will not be broadcast again,” Marat Akhmadullin said in response.

Alexander Desyatkin reported “Y-Ufa”that during the days of the fair he was not in the area, since he was taking parcels mobilized. He noted that the song “Hulyanka” has no political overtones, and the work of Verka Serduchka herself is not prohibited. According to him, the songs were chosen in different languages, since the republic and the region are multinational, there are also Ukrainians among the inhabitants of the municipality. Mr. Desyatkin did not discuss the management’s decision regarding the reprimand for “ethical reasons.”
