Telegram overtakes WhatsApp in terms of traffic for the first time

The share of the Telegram messenger in terms of traffic amounted to 60 to 80 percent of the total volume among messengers, follows from the data of mobile operators referred to by vedomosti.ru.
Telegram for the first time overtook WhatsApp in Russia (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation). This messenger traffic has not changed much.
In terms of the number of users in Russia, WhatsApp remains in first place, but Telegram is catching up with it in this indicator as well, remaining the messenger to which new users join most actively.
