Education in schools located in the regions bordering Ukraine was mainly transferred to a distance format. This was announced by First Deputy Minister of Education Alexander Bugaev at the round table of the State Duma Committee. According to him, this was done for security reasons.
“Now we are faced with the situation that, as part of a special military operation, a number of subjects of the Russian Federation have been assigned special legal statuses. I’m talking here not only about our colleagues who work on the territory of the Donetsk, Luhansk People’s Republics, in Zaporizhia and the Kherson region, but also in the surrounding regions, ”said Mr. Bugaev (quoted by TASS).
In the fall of 2022, schools in the Belgorod and Bryansk regions were switched to remote mode amid increased shelling from Ukraine.
