Participants in the military operation in Ukraine and their children can move to a vacant state-funded place from paid education in the absence of academic or financial debt, follows from orders Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
The ministry announced the development of a corresponding initiative in early July. We are talking about the redistribution of vacant budget places in higher educational institutions. The Ministry of Education and Science specified that the decision to transfer the participants of the SVO to budgetary education would be made by a commission specially created for this.
August 11, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a resolution according to which students of colleges and universities who participated in the SVO will be able to transfer to a free form of education even if there are no vacant budget places. This can be done by transferring the student to another specialty.
About 7,000 people were enrolled in higher education institutions this year under the benefit for participants of the SVO, informed Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Dmitry Afanasiev. According to him, 9,000 applications were submitted.
