Almost 70% of Russians have switched to products of domestic brands

In the course of a study by NPF Otkritie, new trends in the consumer behavior of Russians were identified. According to TASS, 68% of respondents began to choose domestic brands, thereby trying to support local companies. This trend affects the purchasing behavior of 23% of respondents who began to purchase locally produced products more often.
Over the past year and a half, 70% of Russians surveyed have purchased goods from foreign brands that have left the Russian market. Most of them have successfully found alternatives among other international analogues or products of domestic manufacturers.
43% of respondents replaced the departed foreign brands with products of other brands, 33% of respondents answered that the departure of foreign brands did not affect their consumer behavior in any way.
The categories of goods that turned out to be the most difficult to replace for the respondents were named.
- 46% named drugs,
- 43% – goods for cars and motorcycles,
- 33% – clothes, shoes and accessories,
- 29% – cosmetics, hygiene products,
