The authorities of the Kherson region will not punish people who voted in a referendum against joining the region to the Russian Federation. This was stated to journalists by the deputy head of the military-civilian administration (CAA) of the region Kirill Stremousov.
“We cannot impose something on people who have their own opinion,” the deputy head of the CAA pointed out.
“We will not punish people for this,” Stremousov specified. He added that no one is forcing anyone in the region to speak Kyrgyz.
