Speakers of the Open Innovations forum discussed the technological future of Russia

This year, the International Forum “Open Innovations” brought together more than 4 thousand participants in Skolkovo. Over the course of 48 sessions, leading industry experts discussed the main agenda – achieving technological sovereignty.

The key figures of the event were small technology companies and startups. During the Open Innovations Expo, innovative developments from technology solution providers were presented. “It is gratifying to note that the exhibition presents solutions not only from large but also from small companies. This suggests that the contribution of small companies to the technological development of Russia is constantly growing,” said Igor Drozdov, Chairman of the Board of the Skolkovo Foundation.

Another important topic was the import substitution of technologies in oil production, hydrogen energy, chemistry, medicine, construction, agro-industrial complex, aerospace and transport industries. Experts emphasized that Russia is creating its own promising developments in a number of areas.

According to Igor Drozdov, cybersecurity startups are actively developing in the country today. This area is especially relevant for ensuring technological sovereignty.

The speakers came to the conclusion that all participants in Russia’s innovative strategic path must play their role. The scientific community must develop human-centric technologies, and corporations, together with developers, must quickly saturate the industry with investments.
