Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov said that in 2024 Russia will launch 123 satellites into space. Currently the country has more than 240 of them.
“To build up the domestic orbital constellation, more than 20 spacecraft have already been launched in 2024. By the end of this year, it is planned to launch more than 100 spacecraft,” Mr. Manturov told reporters (quoted from Interfax).
He clarified that 123 devices will be sent into space, including 70 small ones. The Deputy Prime Minister also said that the launch of the Start-1M conversion launch vehicle is planned in 2026, and the Amur-LNG reusable methane rocket in 2030.
Denis Manturov also said that in 2025, at the Vostochny Cosmodrome they will begin to create a super-heavy rocket for flights to the Moon and Mars. The first flight tests are due to take place in 2033. About 600 billion rubles will be allocated for the implementation of the project, Mr. Manturov added.
