Four won matches of the second round helped Dynamo-Uralochka to gain a solid foothold in the first place.
The final meeting of the athletes from Zlatoust was held against the Volgograd “Spartak”. The start of the game was left to the opponents, however, Dynamo-Uralochka managed to return, seize the initiative and even out the match.
The fourth quarter was decisive. Water polo players were able to take the lead. At first, the advantage was minimal – one ball. But the representatives of the South Urals had a shock finish, increasing the gap to two goals.
The result of the meeting – 10:8 in favor of Dynamo-Uralochka. Anisa Sharafutdinova and Bella Markoch were recognized as the best in the team from Zlatoust, who scored six goals for two.
Thus, the South Urals team won four out of five possible victories. In the standings, they are still in first place with 25 points.
The head coach of VK “Dynamo-Uralochka” summed up the results of the tour. He stressed that among the six Superleague teams, by definition, there are no weak rivals.
“And everyone is serious about us, as leaders. That’s why we didn’t have passing matches. Even in those where we won big, there was a struggle. The team is in first place. There is only one task – to try to win every game and go to the main medals of the Russian Championship, ”the coach summed up.
