Investigative measures in the criminal case initiated against the rector of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) Vladimir Mau have come to an end. This was reported by a source of RIA Novosti.
According to the source of the agency, Mau is charged with 3 episodes under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Fraud”. The investigation believes that Mau is involved in the theft of 21 million rubles from the RANEPA in the process of fictitious employment.
Recall that on August 2, 2022, Mau was released from house arrest. They took a written undertaking not to leave the place from the scientist.
The criminal case against Mau is connected with another high-profile investigation – in the case of the former Deputy Minister of Education of Russia Marina Rakova. She is also considered involved in the theft of funds through fictitious employment of employees in this university.
