“Son is in Germany, I’m in the studio”: Nadezhda Chepraga revealed the reason for her disappearance

“It’s good that they miss you. It’s worse when my other colleagues are annoying to everyone.”

During the Soviet years, Nadezhda Chepraga was one of the most prominent artists. Not a single big concert was complete without her. A statuesque brunette with a luxurious voice left neither men nor women indifferent. However, Chepraga has disappeared recently: she practically does not perform or appear on television. MK correspondents contacted the singer and found out what she lives and breathes now.

Nadezhda Chepraga has long since moved away from show business. And she assures that she doesn’t get bored without him.

“I myself don’t want to appear very often,” says Nadezhda. “I know this whole kitchen and I don’t want to.” This is not the same level. I don’t remember the last time I participated in the same “Song of the Year”. I don’t keep score: I have enough without it.

— Do you have many concerts now?

– No, a little, because I do not give consent to performances that take place far from Moscow. I have corporate events, but I don’t rely on touring life. I don’t keep a team now only because I don’t want to go somewhere far away. I’ve wandered through life enough. The fact is that each period of time has its own signature of work. Now I pay more attention to studio work – something I didn’t want to do at the time. And now I do it with pleasure. It is quite painstaking work to put the records in order. But I decided to create my own mini-archive, although it takes a lot of time.

— Do you know that your fans miss you?

– It’s good that they miss you. It’s worse when my other colleagues are annoying to everyone. It turns out that on our screen: godfather, godfather, husband, wife, children…

— Don’t you miss those times when you were filming and touring every day?

– No, I worked on television for ten years when I left Chisinau. I’m so tired of this: day and night they showed me when I should and when I shouldn’t. So I don’t suffer. There are about 300 of my songs on the Internet in various funds. Those who are bored can turn on these recordings and watch.

— Nadezhda, what do you live on now if there aren’t many concerts?

— This question has never been the main thing for me. You know, one woman has a cotton dress and a house and is so happy. And the other has a lover and palaces and is dissatisfied. I always tell God: “Thank you for everything I have!” I was born in a village and did not know prosperity, so everything is fine with me. By the way, I really miss my rural childhood. Although today I keep my finger on the pulse. I know what all my relatives do. They now live in different countries of the world: in France and Portugal…

— Your only son is in Germany. Do you often communicate with him?

— The son is on his own: he has been living in Germany for a long time. He was raised there and works there. People of science are completely different. He is a dashing Russian Cossack. He feels good there. You don’t need to be decorated, the main thing is that you decorate the place where you are.

— Doesn’t he invite you for permanent residence in Germany?

– No, he’s not calling. It’s been like this since childhood: I went on tour, which means the tape recorder was turned off. Arrived – turned on. He was raised by his sister, he felt comfortable there. By the way, we didn’t spoil him very much. My sister had three sons. Therefore, when I returned from a tour, I always brought gifts for four. The same for everyone, the same for him.

— Nadezhda, what are you dreaming about now?

— That everyone be healthy, that there be peace on earth, in the house and in the soul. Strength of spirit and love is the most important thing that I sincerely wish for the readers of Moskovsky Komsomolets.
