Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin informed about the imminent opening of a new pedestrian bridge between Balchug Island and Gorky Park. The corresponding post was published in his Telegram channel.
According to the mayor, the builders managed to carry out a unique operation to install a 54-meter long bridge between the Balchug Island spit and the Crimean embankment. He clarified that the delivery and installation of the span took only two days.
At the same time, as Sobyanin admitted, no inconvenience was caused to Muscovites. In particular, builders did not need to block streets or fence off construction sites.
“We will try to complete the finishing work and open the new bridge as soon as possible…” concluded Sobyanin.
