The DIP noted that 16 forest fires on an area of 34.8 thousand hectares were extinguished in the Sverdlovsk region over the past day. On the evening of May 10, there were 59 natural fires in the region, of which 29 fires were localized. According to FBU “Avialesookhrana”, this morning 75.6 thousand hectares of forest burned in the region.
About 4 thousand people and more than 500 units of special equipment are fighting the fire. Volunteers help professionals.
