A court in Moscow fined Google for not removing videos that they considered to be LGBT propaganda, roofing and discrediting the Russian Armed Forces.
The protocol under Part 2 of Article 13.41 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation on non-removal of prohibited content was drawn up by Roskomnadzor.
“To impose a penalty in the form of an administrative fine in the amount of three million rubles,” the court said.
It is reported that Roskomnadzor sent nine notices to the corporation demanding that videos about LGBT people, roofing and discrediting the Russian army be removed from YouTube. The company’s lawyer insisted on the termination of production, he noted that there were questions about the design of screenshots with content and how the department was convinced that the notices were delivered to the company.
