Petersburg SKA lost to Dynamo Moscow in a shootout in the KHL regular season match. The team broke the winning streak, losing for the first time in ten meetings.
Petersburgers played the game on home ice – the match was held at the Ice Palace on Saturday, September 24th. The final scoreboard showed 2:1 in favor of the guests. This was the first defeat for SKA since the beginning of the season: the previous nine matches ended in victories for the St. Petersburg team.
However, the club retained the lead in the Western Conference table with 19 points. However, Dynamo is approaching the Petersburgers, having already scored 14 points and climbed to second place.
