Singer Monetochka fined for not marking a foreign agent - Kommersant

The Basmanny District Court of Moscow fined the singer Monetochka (Elizaveta Gyrdymova, included in the register of foreign agents) for not being labeled as a foreign agent. The amount of the fine was 30 thousand rubles.

“Gyrdymova Elizaveta Andreevna was found guilty of committing an administrative offense, responsibility for which is provided for in Part 4 of Art. 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, namely, it allowed the distribution of material on the YouTube video hosting site without indicating that the material was produced and distributed by a foreign agent,”— informs press service of the Moscow courts of general jurisdiction.

In May 2022 Elizaveta Gyrdymova reportedthat left Russia and lives in Lithuania. She explained the decision to emigrate with the desire to “feel freedom in her statements.”

With the initiative to recognize Monetochka as a foreign agent on January 19 spoke social activist, head of the Federal Project on Security and Combating Corruption Vitaly Borodin. The reason was the public statements of the performer criticizing the Russian military operation in Ukraine. She was included in the list of foreign agents by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation the very next day, January 20.
