The fast food outlet was closed until the circumstances were clarified. The check was also started by specialists from the local branch of Rospotrebnadzor: experts revealed violations in the storage of products and in the technological process of cooking.

The investigator in this criminal case asked the court in the Angara region to take the defendant into custody. However, after the hearing, he decided to send the accused under house arrest until August 13.

Formerly MK informedthat the number of deaths from surrogate cider poisoning in the regions reached 36 people, and the total number of Russians affected by its use increased to 106 citizens. Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko announced this on the sidelines of the SPIEF. He added that among the dead there is one child, and 19 people are in hospital. An individual entrepreneur from the Samara region, who supplied the poisoned drink under the brand name “Mr. Cider” to retail outlets, was arrested. A criminal case has been initiated. The investigation establishes all the circumstances of the incident. After the first reports of mass poisoning appeared, Rospotrebnazor decided to withdraw all the products of this manufacturer from sale. It was reported that 71.4 thousand liters of this surrogate alcoholic drink had already been seized.
