The Prosecutor General’s Office declared the human rights organization “Agora” undesirable in Russia, reports “RIA News”. It is headed by lawyer Pavel Chikov, who was previously recognized by the Ministry of Justice as a foreign agent.
Agora is an association of dozens of human rights lawyers from various regions of Russia who deal with cases of human rights violations. Until the fall of 2015, the organization cooperated with the Interregional Association of Human Rights Public Associations “AGORA”, which was liquidated at the initiative of the Ministry of Justice in 2016.
