“Shame on!”: Ilya Reznik read poems about runaway oligarchs, fueling the indignation of the audience

The poet condemned wealthy Russians who decided to wait out the time on “warm haciendas”

Ilya Reznik returned to Moscow. The popular songwriter spent the last eight months in the Crimea with his beloved wife Irina. In Moscow, Reznik gave a concert where he presented a new poem about oligarchs who fled Russia.

The audience missed Reznik, so they filled the auditorium to capacity. Ilya Rakhmielevich rejoiced at the full house. For eight months he has not changed at all: the same energetic and stately. According to tradition, he came out to the audience in white.

That evening, only Reznik was on stage: he talked with the audience, read new works. At some point, Ilya Rakhmielevich presented a poem about runaway oligarchs.

Be ashamed! Bombs are exploding on the ground, Donbass crucified

Be ashamed! Young guys die in battle

And volunteers rush to the front,

And your friends are pure-blooded force majeure!

Hurry to wait out the fateful days

On cozy haciendas away from Russia

A wave of indignation swept through the hall. Reznik’s position in relation to the Russian oligarchs turned out to be close to all those present without exception. And Ilya Rakhmielevich continued:

And everything is on your drum: you have become like an idol,

Putting a cross on conscience,

You paved the way for happiness

Having learned the finale of Krylov’s fable: “And Vaska listens and eats”

And for you words are water:

No shame!

At the end, the audience gave Reznik a standing ovation. Ilya Rakhmielevich was very moved by such a warm welcome.

– I wrote this work for Elena Vaenga in 2010, – Ilya Rakhamilevich told MK. But she didn’t do it. And I rewrote part of the poem, supplemented it with lines about the tragedy in the Donbass, and now I read it myself. You can see how the audience takes it. They fully support, because what the so-called oligarchs are doing now is beyond what is permitted.

Recall that not so long ago Reznik wrote a new song about the heroes of the NWO. “Loved ones do not die” was performed by Aziza. But the work was not taken by any TV channel in the New Year’s “lights”.
