Seven members of an organized group in the Tomsk region will be tried under article of fraud for cashing out maternity capital. Their actions caused damage to the state amounting to 70 million rubles. They cashed out maternity capital for 165 families. About it reported in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The group members range in age from 21 to 48 years. Through controlled credit organizations, they entered into fictitious agreements with citizens who had state certificates for maternity capital. It was assumed that the money would be used to build housing on land in the Tomsk region.
Then the contracts were transferred to the branch of the Pension and Social Insurance Fund in the Tomsk region. The money was cashed and distributed among the accomplices. Seven participants were charged with fraud in receiving payments (159.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
Clients were sought through advertisements on the Internet and through friends in the Tomsk and Kemerovo regions. 165 families were recruited. The total damage exceeded 70 million rubles. FSB officers identified a network for cashing out maternity capital in April 2022.
“Due to the fact that the alleged organizer of illegal activities entered into a pre-trial agreement with the investigation, the criminal case against her has been separated into separate proceedings. Currently, both criminal cases with indictments approved by the prosecutor have been sent to the Sovetsky District Court of Tomsk for consideration on the merits,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
