Seekers lead singer Judith Durham dies

Australian singer-songwriter Judith Durham, lead singer of folk group The Seekers, has died. She was 79 years old, as reported by The Guardian.
The cause of death was complications from chronic lung disease. She passed away while at a palliative care center in Melbourne.
The group itself was formed in Melbourne in 1962. The Seekers performed such hits as The Carnival is Over, I’ll Never Find Another You, and A World of Our Own.
Durham was a soloist from the band’s inception until 1968. After that, she took up a solo career.
