Scientists around the world are looking for a way to open the tomb of the famous Qin Shi Huang, the first Chinese emperor of the Qin dynasty, at whose mausoleum 8,100 full-size terracotta statues of Chinese warriors and their horses were found buried.
As noted in publications RIA Novosti, the Shi Huangdi mausoleum was discovered almost half a century ago, every corner of it was studied, but the ruler’s coffin has not yet been touched.
Construction of the Shi Huangdi tomb began during his lifetime, and it took 30 years. This is a real mini-city: there are palaces, gardens, and barracks with stables. There are also cemeteries for noble nobles here.
Opening the ruler’s tomb directly is dangerous because of the mercury contained inside.
