Schoolchildren create a guide to projects for the recreation and development of children and youth

“Dedicated to the memory of the participants of the 18th division of the people’s militia in the Battle of Moscow”, “Moscow Planetarium”, “Moscow Zoo”, “Hiking for children and their parents in Moscow and the Moscow region”, “TIN-club of railways” – these projects , developed by Moscow schoolchildren and their teachers, entered the top 200 nominees for the Big Changes award, which is held by the Russian Movement of Children and Youth. The purpose of the competition is to select the most interesting projects related to the recreation and development of children and adolescents, and subsequently create a unique aggregator of them that can be used by all residents and guests of the country.

The Russian Movement of Children and Youth has completed the first round of voting on projects submitted for the Great Changes award. As the general director of the organization of the same name, Natalia Mandrova, noted, for three years the non-profit organization has been creating projects where the child is necessarily their co-author..

— At some stage, we realized that today there is a lack of a project in which children could independently form a map of places, activities, services and platforms where they feel comfortable, confident, where they are full partners in the process. Thus the idea of ​​the award was born. This year’s challenge was to showcase the top 1,000 projects across the country. And we succeeded,” said Natalia Mandrova.

At the first stage, the award jury really selected 1000 projects, then the top 200 best projects were determined. They are divided into ten categories, in particular, “More than an idea”, “More than health”, “More than history”, “More than a team”, “More than emotions”… The last stage of voting begins today, in which both adults and children’s experts take part. They must choose one winner in each of the ten categories.

— The evaluation methodology is designed in such a way that the selection of projects is as objective as possible. The best practices will be marked with the Big Change quality mark. It is important that the strongest win. The health and happiness of our children depends on this,” said Zlata Chepurnaya, a member of the expert council of the jury of the Big Changes award.

The results of the “Big Changes” award will be summed up at the end of December within the framework of the All-Russian Congress of the Russian Movement of Children and Youth. The superfinalist, winners and prize-winners of the award will be marked with the quality mark of the Big Change award and will enter a new online platform – an aggregator of proven and high-quality services, organizations, digital projects and media products for the comprehensive development of children and youth.
