NWO fighters named the most necessary New Year’s gifts: send nail pullers

New Year is a magical holiday. And family. But thousands of our servicemen, performing duty in the zone of the special military operation, will not be able to hug their relatives on this holiday. We found out what kind of gifts the Russian military expects the most from relatives and volunteers.

Vladimir Krupin, coordinator of the humanitarian project to help the military in the city of Ivanovo, tells.

– What do the fighters most often ask to send with the advent of winter?

– First of all, it is, of course, warm things. Thermal underwear, knitted belts protecting the back, warm socks are in demand. If possible, warm tactical headphones, because, for example, it is almost impossible for the same machine gunners to work without them – the machine gun stuns.

Based on the fact that the line of contact is dynamic, and military personnel are constantly moving from one position to another, the question arises in the construction and arrangement of dugouts. The temperature in that zone is already dropping to minus 6-7 degrees. People need to warm up somehow. To do this, we bring them stoves that run on liquid fuel. Finding firewood or trees in order to kindle a potbelly stove in those parts is a big problem.

For understanding: not so long ago, for the fighters of our Ivanovo airborne division, we sent two trucks of firewood so that they would have something to heat the stoves. It’s easier with fuel, a bucket is enough to heat up for a day.

Also needed on the front tarpaulin or a thick film for arranging dugouts so that they do not leak. Construction tools are also in great demand: nail pullers, saws, and so on. As the fighters themselves say, these are the best New Year’s gifts. They say: “The main thing for us is that we can quickly settle down, and not spend a day or two preparing a dugout.”

From the household they ask for stoves powered by small disposable gas cylinders. With their help, you can independently cook and heat food. Ideally, if possible, we try to bring diesel generators to the children. One goes to two or three dugouts. Then they have, in addition to heat from stoves, also electricity. You can also heat the kettle, and use the electric stove, if there is one, and recharge the walkie-talkies.

– What about food?

– Now, on the eve of the New Year, of course, we have prepared a lot of sweets, but, in general, canned food is the most in demand in such conditions. Meat, fish, vegetables. Ordinary products require certain storage conditions that are not always possible to provide. With canned food, everything is much easier. Also, the guys always ask for noodles and instant potatoes, sort of. Well, of course, three-in-one coffee, tea bags, sugar.

– Children give letters to the fighters. What do they most often write in them and why is it so important for military personnel to have children’s attention?

– Basically, the kids write that they are proud of our servicemen. Most kids already know what’s going on. Almost every letter contains warm words addressed to the fighters, wishes for a speedy victory and requests to return home as soon as possible.

In fact, children’s attention is very important for the military. When a person is in harsh conditions and performs serious tasks, risking his life almost every minute, he needs an understanding of why he is doing this. It is clear that there are general words about the duty to the Motherland and the protection of the civilian population, but when you receive a letter directly, directly, read it, it sets you up and inspires you. The fighters have a clear understanding of who they are protecting there.

And these, at first glance, little things, in fact, have a huge effect. In some divisions, the servicemen even ask to bring them letters from children, because they do not always reach them by mail. What we always try to do.
