The federal agency initiated legal proceedings

The Federal Agency for Youth Affairs filed more than 20 lawsuits against recipients of grants for various public projects in the capital’s courts. Many young talented Russians turned out to be absolutely incapable of maintaining business records. Now they will have to return government funds through the courts.

As MK learned, numerous lawsuits from Rosmolodezh began to arrive in the capital’s Basmanny Court in the fall of last year. Some of them have been satisfied, but most are still being considered. The defendants are the winners of various competitions of youth initiatives in Russian regions, which were patronized by the Federal Agency. In 2019-2020, impressive grants were allocated to the authors of the most daring ideas. We talked about organizing art festivals, environmental events, patriotic events and much more. The size of the grants ranged from 400 thousand rubles to 1 million. However, some winners were unable to either utilize the allocated subsidies or account for the funds spent. As a result, Rosmolodezh lawyers were forced to file claims against young talents. In all cases, the court made decisions not in favor of the grant holders.
