Sakhalin volleyball players brought four victories from the 10th round of the Russian championship

Sakhalin volleyball players returned from Murom with four victories. This was reported by the regional Ministry of Sports.

Athletes from PSK Sakhalin participated in the 10th round of the Russian Volleyball Championship among women’s teams of the Major League “A”. Oleg Lyapugin’s team played two matches each with the teams “Dynamo-Anapa” from Anapa and “Lipetsk” from the city of Lipetsk. In all games, Sakhalin won with a score of 3:1 in favor of Sakhalin. The coach congratulated the athletes on their worthy results.

“The girls gave themselves and the fans a wonderful gift for the spring holiday – March 8th! Based on our game, I can say that we started the first game very poorly, I don’t know what’s causing this, we’ll look into it and draw conclusions. I would like to note that we showed a high-quality technique and worked well in blocking defense,” said head coach Oleg Lyapugin.

Now the volleyball players of PSK Sakhalin are in fifth place in the tournament standings.

“We’re happy with the results of the tour, but the quality in some games is not quite right. This was an important round for us; its results determined who would gain a foothold in the top six of the championship. And we were able to do it,” shared player Armine Galstyan.

The next games will be in Yekaterinburg from March 20 to 24, after which the semi-final games of the championship will start.
