A nutritionist told how to prepare your body for the onset of warm days
Nutritionist Polina Zhuravleva in conversation with the Public News Service told how to prepare your body for spring.
According to the expert, the first thing you need to pay attention to is your diet. It should change radically by the onset of warm days. It is necessary to exclude high-calorie foods from the diet. In winter, a person consumes much more calories. This is due to maintaining immunity during the cold period. In spring and summer there are much fewer viruses, so you can eat lighter foods.
Zhuravleva said that you need to introduce more vegetable salads with an abundance of fresh herbs into your diet. In addition, you need to pay attention to kefir and other low-fat dairy products.
“Don’t forget about water – dehydration during this period should absolutely not be allowed. Carry a bottle of water with you, drink up to two liters a day, but categorically exclude sweet drinks,” the doctor noted, adding that you should also drink less caffeine-containing drinks, as they cause dehydration and fatigue.
