Russians became leaders among tourists visiting Kazakhstan in the nine months of 2023
Most of the tourists who visited Kazakhstan were from the Russian Federation, the press service of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic reported based on the results of nine months of 2023.
It turned out that from January to September, Kazakhstan received 356,850 tourists from Russia. Second place went to the People’s Republic of China, where 75,131 people came from. Turkey closes the top three – 41,134 tourists from this country visited Kazakhstan in nine months.
The fourth and fifth places are taken by tourists from India (34,757) and the USA (28,160).
Over the nine months of 2023, Kazakhstan, as calculated by the department, received 834.9 thousand foreign tourists. The figure is 225 thousand higher than a year earlier.
