A child must be born not only in conditions of material well-being, but also in marriage. This follows from a study by the Russian State Social University (RGSU), which I read “Russian newspaper”.
It is known that the respondents did not make a serious distinction as to what kind of union it was – church, civil or official. It was important to have a partner you could rely on.
“Marriage is a key non-material incentive to have children,” explained the first vice-rector of the RSSU, Jomart Aliyev. As the expert noted, strengthening the family institution will help increase the birth rate in Russia.
According to the survey, for 15% of citizens, problems in the family are the reason for refusing to have a baby. It is also noteworthy that large families are very willing to decide to have another child. Among families with three children, 43% are ready to add to the family. Among couples with five children, over 70% are ready to have another child.
The survey involved 9 thousand respondents from six regions of the Russian Federation.
