In Russia, sales of condoms decreased by 4%
Residents of Russia have become less likely to buy condoms. In pharmacies, sales of this type of contraception in January-February decreased by 4% – 3.1 million packages were sold. The publication reports this “Vedomosti”.
It is clarified that experts attribute the decline in sales to the growing popularity of birth control pills, sales of which, in turn, increased by 11.3% compared to the same period last year.
Analysts say that despite the decline in the popularity of condoms, demand for them will still remain stable, as they are considered effective in preventing sexually transmitted diseases.
