Russian schoolboy sets world record for number of squats

A native of Ingushetia, 10-year-old Abdul-Rakhman Getagazov, set the first world record in the number of squats. This was reported by the Telegram channel of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic.
It is known that the boy has been interested in sports since an early age: he goes to freestyle wrestling. At the age of 7, he often squatted and at some point, out of curiosity, began doing timed exercises. For 3 years, the record holder worked on his technique, endurance and began preparing for the world record.
The boy set an unofficial record by squatting 5,900 times in three hours. The day before, specialists and experts visited the region and recorded a successful result – the student squatted 7,743 times in four hours. They, in particular, assessed the technique of performing the exercise.
“At the moment there is no such record; it is being set for the first time. These are the extraordinary capabilities of the human body,” said the head of the World Records Club, Stanislav Konenko. The athlete was given a car, which the boy wants to give to his father.
