27-year-old police lieutenant from Naryan-Mar Alexey Mezentsev was suspected of participating in a fraudulent scheme. According to investigators, he took 340 thousand rubles from the woman, which she was forced to give by deception, reports the Telegram channel Baza.
It is assumed that Mezentsev could also use the Ministry of Internal Affairs database to find women who were defrauded of money, or otherwise use his official position in the interests of a group of fraudsters.
The traffic police inspector was fired and then detained. He is a suspect in a criminal case.
