In Chita, the 2nd Eastern District Military Court sentenced ex-law enforcement officer, reserve major Alexander Varfolomeev.
The court sentenced him to 11 years in prison for corruption and disclosure of state secrets. This was reported in the press service of the court.
It is clarified that the serviceman disclosed information that constitutes a state secret. Among other things, the man received bribes totaling 932,688 rubles
“The court sentenced Varfolomeev to 11 years of imprisonment in a maximum security colony, with a fine of 9,326,880 rubles. In addition, he was deprived of the right to hold positions in the public service for eight years,” the court noted.
