Russian hockey player Artem Gvozdik died in the NVO zone

Former hockey player of the Smolensk club “Slavutich” Artem Gvozdik died in the zone of the special military operation (SVO) on the territory of Ukraine at the age of 35. This is stated in the publication on the official page of the club in the social network “VKontakte”.
The statement of the team notes that on August 23, defending the country and fulfilling his duty, the former player of Slavutych, goalkeeper Artem Gvozdik, who played for the club in the 2015/16 season, died in the SVO zone. The publication clarifies that the athlete participated in the fighting in the Zaporozhye direction in the assault units of the Airborne Forces.
The club’s message also states that recently Gvozdik played for the Pskov team of the Airborne Forces, and he also trained children there.
