Surgeons reattached a child’s face that had been bitten off entirely by a dog

In Karachay-Cherkessia, a dog completely bit off a child’s face. Surgeons successfully performed the first such operation in Russia to sew back the nose, lips and cheeks, the Telegram channel reported Mash.

As it became known, a four-year-old boy threw a ball into a doghouse and went to get it. At that moment, the dog grabbed the child’s face, as a result of which the boy’s nose, part of his lips and cheeks were torn off. The child was urgently hospitalized at the regional children’s hospital in Krasnodar. The boy lay on the operating table for 12 hours.

The little patient has been receiving treatment at the medical facility for three weeks now, and his face is gradually healing. Now the unique operation is widely discussed in the medical community of the country and the world.
