A complete evacuation of residents was announced in the Gazodobytchikov village in the Orenburg district of the Orenburg region today, April 12. About it reports district administration.

“As flood levels continue to rise, there is a real risk of dam failure. Residents of the Gazodobytchikov village (first, second, third stage) urgently need to leave the village and evacuate to a safe place!” – the officials said in a statement.

The district administration called on residents to help children, disabled people and elderly people leave their homes, collect documents and leave. People are asked to remain calm and not panic.

Also the head of the Orenburg region Vasily Shmarin in his Telegram channel reported that sirens were activated in the area. He urged residents not to ignore warning signals, take documents, essentials, medicines and leave the flooded areas. We are talking about territories in Karavanny, Chkalovsky, Blagoslovensky, Nezhinsky, Prigorodny, Ivanovo, Vesenny, Yuzhnouralsky, Krasnouralsky, Nizhnepavlovsky, Dedurovsky and Nikolsky village councils.

As of this morning, more than 11.7 thousand residential buildings and over 15 thousand household plots have been flooded in the Orenburg region in 26 municipalities in 67 settlements and 40 SNT. 10.7 thousand people were evacuated from the flood zone, including 2.1 thousand children. There are 1.3 thousand people in 43 temporary temporary detention centers, including 236 minors. The rest of the evacuees moved in with relatives. Over the course of a day, the water level in the Ural River near Orenburg increased by 69 cm. It is 199 cm above the critical level.
