Doctors in the Tula region had to get to a patient in a distant village on horseback
Medical staff in the Tula region reached a patient in a remote village on a horse-drawn sleigh after their car got stuck in the snow. The Tula Center for Disaster Medicine reports this on its VKontakte page.
An 85-year-old resident of Malaya Karateevka needed the help of doctors. A pensioner complained of high blood pressure. The son, who was nearby, called an ambulance. A team of two paramedics went to the patient.
“Before reaching about two kilometers to the place of call, the ambulance got stuck in the snow. The patient’s son went to help the doctors on a horse-drawn cart …,” the message says.
It is clarified that assistance was provided in a timely manner. At the center, this method of movement for medical staff was considered unusual.
