The State Duma Committee recommended considering a fine of 200 thousand rubles for dog bites
If a pet has bitten someone, then its owner can be charged with a fine of up to 200 thousand rubles. The corresponding bill was recommended to be adopted during the second reading by the State Duma Committee on State Construction and Legislation. This writes “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”.
As noted, one of the initiators, the head of the State Construction Committee, Pavel Krasheninnikov, drew attention to the fact that the adoption of a bill announcing penalties for non-compliance with regulations on keeping pets will lead to a more humane and responsible treatment of pets. According to the parliamentarian, in the second reading it is proposed to fix the administrative responsibility of the pet owner for bites that caused harm to life or health of people or property, if there are no signs of a criminally punishable act.
Legislators have proposed such fines: for citizens it will be from 10 thousand to 30 thousand rubles, for officials – from 50 thousand to 100 thousand rubles, and legal entities may be fined from 100 thousand to 200 thousand rubles.
