Russia responded to reports of the creation of a killer coronavirus with absolute mortality

State Duma deputy called on the creators of a virus with a 100% mortality rate to create a vaccine

Concerns about the creation in China of a coronavirus strain that has a 100% mortality rate were expressed by Russian State Duma deputy Anton Nemkin. In conversation with the publication Life.rustated that such experiments can hardly be justified solely by the desire to make a large-scale discovery.

He noted that at a time when technology has reached a high rate of development, discoveries can be made in virtual reality, where they will not harm anyone unless they fall into the hands of attackers.

The deputy agreed that it is difficult to conduct a successful experiment without practice, but when the risks are much higher than the chances of success, safety issues should be worked out especially well. Laboratory leaks in such cases can pose a threat to the whole world, Nemkin said.

The State Duma deputy advised to think about prevention, in particular, about developing a vaccine.

“I would like to advise my colleagues from China to start developing a vaccine against such a dangerous strain of the virus in advance in order to prevent the situation that has developed with COVID-19,” the parliamentarian concluded.

It was previously known that Residents around the world may be faced with a new virus called “Disease X.” Experts in the medical community are concerned because the mortality rate from it is 20 times higher than from the coronavirus pandemic.

According to infectious disease doctor Elena Meskina, Russian specialists began studying the deadly “disease X” back in 2021, after reports of its occurrence in the Congo. One of the residents showed symptoms resembling Ebola fever, but tests did not confirm the presence of diseases known to doctors.
