Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko said that the shortage of personnel in the field of healthcare for doctors is about 25-26 thousand people, for nurses – about 50 thousand people. According to him, the deficit is not critical, but important. Anesthesiologists-resuscitators are especially in demand now.
At the government hour in the State Duma, the head of the Ministry of Health said that the deficit is primarily noted in the primary link in rural health care.
“In hospitals in the city, in general, there is no shortage, as a rule. With the exception of anesthesiologists-resuscitators. The demand for them today is colossal,” said Mr. Murashko (quoted by Interfax).
He noted that the outflow of medical personnel is mostly associated with the retirement of the older age group of health workers. According to the minister, as a result of the measures taken in primary care, it was possible to prevent the outflow and increase the influx of personnel by 3%. Mikhail Murashko also said that the issue of incentive mechanisms for primary care workers is being worked out in Russia.
