Infection with swine flu has already been recorded in 55 regions of Russia, the press service of Rospotrebnadzor reported on Tuesday.
The A (H1N1)-2009 strain, “the so-called swine flu,” now dominates among the identified variants of the influenza virus in the country, the department noted.
It is also noted that the incidence of SARS and influenza increased by 18.5% from the previous week. The excess of the average Russian incidence rates is observed in 43 regions of the Russian Federation.
Formerly an immunologist doctor of medical sciences Vyacheslav Zhemchugov declared HSN that the flu now poses more risks than the coronavirus. At the same time, according to him, it is necessary to get vaccinated against both influenza and Covid-19.
