Rospotrebnadzor said that there are no plans to introduce a mask regime in Russia unless there are serious reasons for this. RIA Novosti reports this.
Restrictive measures can be introduced only locally and for a certain period of time, the department’s press service clarified. Earlier it was reported that the Government House would introduce a mask regime and other preventive measures in connection with influenza and coronavirus, but these restrictions will apply only in this particular institution.
The mask regime was introduced in the Government House at the beginning of the pandemic in 2020 and was canceled in April 2023 after the epidemiological situation improved. According to infectious disease doctors, coronavirus has become a typical respiratory infection and poses a danger mainly to people with weakened immune systems and serious pathologies.
