In response to a question about the possible mandatory introduction of a mask regime, the Kremlin said that there are no new restrictions yet.
It was previously reported that due to the seasonal increase in the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections, influenza and COVID-19, additional preventive measures were temporarily introduced in the government house, including a mask regime.
Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin has not yet taken new restrictive measures and that they are awaiting doctors’ recommendations on this issue. “We are waiting for the doctors’ recommendations,” he noted.
Rospotrebnadzor said on Saturday that there are no plans to introduce a mandatory mask regime in Russia unless there are serious reasons for this. However, local restrictions may be introduced in institutions in accordance with the epidemiological situation.
