“Its features include a very high contagiousness, even greater contagiousness than all its predecessors. Any small contact leads to infection and, most likely, to the development of the disease. We are still studying this virus, but today, from the data of foreign scientists, it can bypass the previously formed immunity, ”the head of Rospotrebnadzor said during a briefing in Saratov (quoted by RIA Novosti).
However, according to Anna Popova, a colleague from India, where “arcturus” was first discovered, as well as countries in which isolated cases of a new subvariant appear, so far they do not describe a more severe course than with “omicron”. “We are ready, the entire healthcare system of the Russian Federation is ready for additional stress and overload.
