The press service of Roskomnadzor commented on the massive failure of the WhatsApp messenger recorded on April 3 (Meta Corporation, owner of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Threads, is recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).
The department admitted that the problem may be related to a failure within the infrastructure of Meta Corporation itself.
“There is a problem with receiving and sending messages; media files are not loading,” the radio frequency center added.
