The Federal Air Transport Agency recommended that airlines and airport operators give participants in the military operation in Ukraine priority during check-in for flights and screening. This is reported by RBC with reference to a copy of the telegram that was received by a number of airlines and airports, including Sheremetyevo.

“I ask you to take measures to ensure correct and attentive service at airports and on board aircraft of military personnel participating in the Air Defense Forces. Conduct appropriate briefings with employees and services providing services to passengers at airports and aircraft crews,” RBC cites excerpts from a telegram signed by the head of the Federal Air Transport Agency, Dmitry Yadrov.

In addition, the Federal Air Transport Agency recommended “excluding cases of incorrect communication” between airline personnel and airport employees and military personnel. The agency also pointed out the need to provide competent and reliable information on questions that arise and provide assistance at all stages of transportation.

The list of recommendations also included: assistance to combatants in rebooking air tickets in case of being late for departure for valid reasons; placement of military personnel with mobility limitations in the most comfortable places during registration.

In February, President Vladimir Putin said that participants in military operations would be able to obtain mortgages at a preferential rate of 2%. As part of their support, they also will be released from property tax. April 6 President signed the law on labor guarantees for widows of combat veterans; they are prohibited from dismissal within a year after the death of a serviceman.
