Roads collapse in Ulan-Ude due to abnormal rains and power supply is partially cut off

How informs The press service of the mayor’s office, during the day on August 2 and 3, half of the monthly rainfall, or 43 mm, fell in the city, about 4 thousand cubic meters of rainwater was pumped out of the streets by public utilities.

“Traffic traffic along Gastello Street is closed, due to heavy rain on the highway in the 102nd quarter, the soil, roadbed and footpath were washed out. One of the servers at the ”Burvodstroy” substation has failed, as a result, there is no electricity in a number of areas,” the press service notes.

Head of Buryatia Alexei Tsydenov in his Telegram channel stated that he “keeps the situation in Ulan-Ude under control”, the regional government is assisting the municipality in the form of providing the necessary equipment for pumping water. Mr. Tsydenov himself flew to Severobaikalsk to “prepare the northern regions for the heating season.”
