The Russian armed forces are using dive drones, including ZALA Aero, against Ukrainian equipment. An informed source told RIA Novosti about this.
“In the zone of the special military operation, the Russian military uses dive loitering ammunition developed by ZALA Aero, which increases the effectiveness of the destruction of Ukrainian armored vehicles, and primarily tanks,” the source said. According to him, as a rule, a kamikaze drone hits tanks in the roof of a turret or engine compartment.
ZALA Aero drones are produced by the Izhevsk company ZALA of the Kalashnikov concern. These drones are of two types – helicopter and aircraft. As a rule, such UAVs have small dimensions. However, one of the models in the form of an airplane has a wingspan of 6 m.
