Residents of the house in the city of Yeysk, on which the Su-34 plane crashed on October 17, will demand compensation from the Russian Ministry of Defense for lost property, informed operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory.
During a meeting with the head of the regional construction department, Sergei Vlasov, and the head of the Yeysk district, Roman Bublik, residents asked for help in preparing a lawsuit. It was decided that the specialists of the municipality will help citizens in compiling the necessary documentation.
After the crash of the Su-34 aircraft, a strong fire broke out in the house, in which 15 people died. After the flame was extinguished, it turned out that the three entrances of the nine-story building, in which there are 76 apartments, cannot be repaired, the entrances will be completely dismantled and rebuilt. The remaining seven entrances, in which 240 apartments are located, were recognized as safe for living, residents returned there.
Residents of the affected house received lump-sum payments and compensation from the regional budget for lost property. In addition, citizens are reimbursed for the cost of repairing housing and renting apartments if the family does not want to stay in a temporary accommodation center, the regional operational headquarters explained.
